The holistic approach of Osteopathic Medicine always resonated with me. The idea that we are a unit of body, mind and spirit and that our bodies have an inherent ability to heal made sense before I ever laid hands on a patient. The interconnectedness of the body and the relationship of health to the musculoskeletal system and its web of fascia became increasingly obvious as I treated patients over the past 12 years.

My husband and I sold our stuff at the end of 2022, and traveled the world for nearly two years with our two children, ages 7 and 9 at the time. When I arrived in Southeast Asia and began to receive healing treatments, I was astounded at the similarities between Eastern Medicine and my training in Osteopathic Medicine.

Upon returning home, I enrolled in the AcuMed Physician Acupuncture course. Integrating concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese-style palpation based acupuncture and my Western medical training suddenly unlocked tools for healing and gave me language to understand the energetic alignment of our bodies.
